The Guild will arrange courses in conjunction with Branch Training Coordinators to meet the needs of members to progress further in the art of bell ringing when the branch is finding it difficult to meet demand for training. These courses will be organised and run within the area where the need arises bringing in outside tutors as is necessary.
The Guild is very aware of the need of attracting and training new recruits, especially younger people, into bell ringing. As a teaching aid we are looking at the Integrated Teacher Training Scheme (ITTS) which is the training scheme of the Association of Ringing Teachers (ART) supported by the Central Council and has been created to give skilled and competent teaching of change ringing.
In addition the Guild will offer some courses centrally, usually at one of our Ringing Centres. If you would like the Guild to run a course on a topic please contact the Guild Training Officer.
It may be possible to hold some courses on a weekday if sufficient requests are made and this is practicable.
