Safeguarding/H&S Meeting, 22 July, Market Lavington

This was the first of two meetings given by Anthony Lovell-Wood (Safeguarding) and David Close (Health & Safety) for Guild Members.  The safeguarding session comprised the CoE/Salisbury Diocese C1, Foundation Module; in a ringing context this is provided for volunteers working with children, young people or adults who may be at risk.  At the conclusion of the course all attendees were presented with a certificate of attendance.

The Guild has an H&S policy available to see in the latest Guild Report. The purpose of this session was to explain that the Guild policy is essentially a set of guidelines and information other than when appropriate to have evidence of a risk assessment and method statement.

The second seminar will be held at Fordington, 30 September.
