A brand new resource for those of us who want to improve our ringing and expand our repertoire of methods is the Little Blue Ringing Book published this month by the Ringing World.
It focuses on methods ranging in difficulty from Plain Bob Doubles to Little Bob Major and, like its companions in the same series, the “Green Book” and the “Purple Book,” it aims to contain everything you might meet at this stage of ringing, with explanations, diagrams, and plenty of tips.
Available as a very useful A6 pocket version as well as A5 and A4 for the bookshelf, it is packed with interesting and enjoyable methods which are less complicated than Stedman or surprise minor and provides us with tips, ideas and answers to our questions.
If you want to progress to ringing advanced methods, it will give you all the building blocks.
In the same series as the Little Green Ringing Book which is aimed at learners and The Little Purple Ringing Book for more experienced ringers.
