Our practice on 28th February was held at Toller Porcorum in the West Dorset branch and Maiden Newton in the Dorchester branch.
Eight young ringers attended and we were pleased to welcome Ivy and JJ for the first time, along with their ringing teachers.
We rang lots of rounds, call changes and plain hunt on five, plus Grandsire Doubles, Stedman Doubles, Plain Bob Minor and Cambridge S Minor for the more experienced young ringers. We finished with some lovely rounds with a complete band of young ringers.
Janet and Tim Collins brought along their handbells and helped the young ringers to ring rounds, plain hunt on six and plain hunt by “lapping” (passing the bells between the ringers).
Our next practice will be on Saturday 25th April.
