On Saturday 27th April we held a successful practice at Thornford and Longburton, two six-bell towers near Sherborne. Six young ringers attended, including three who came along for the first time. We enjoyed ringing rounds, call changes and plain hunt, as well as Plain Bob and Grandsire Doubles, Plain Bob Minor and Cambridge Minor (well done, Annabel!). Bertie the mascot found a very suitable pew at Thornford.
Congratulations to Conni on receiving the Guild Young Ringer of the Year award at the Guild Festival on 11th May and to the other nominees.
Many thanks to all those who supported our fundraising for the RWNYC day in London, whether on the day of the Guild Festival or beforehand; we made about £220.
Our next practice will be on Saturday 25th May at Motcombe and St James, Shaftesbury. Please see the calendar for full details, or contact Hilary on email hidden; JavaScript is required
