Young Ringers Update

Our March practice was held on a lovely, sunny afternoon at Wylye and Steeple Langford, two lightish, easy-going rings of 6 in the Salisbury branch; thanks to Ruth Beavin for making the arrangements.

There was a good turnout, with eight ringers under the age of 18, including a couple of new faces. We were pleased to welcome back Robert McGrane who had got the train up to Salisbury from Southampton, where he is enjoying ringing with the university ringing society.

Ringing at both towers included rounds, call changes, plain hunt, Plain Bob Doubles, Grandsire Doubles – and a course of Cambridge (well done, Robert). Alastair’s family had made an impressive Victoria sponge which was enjoyed, along with other refreshments, at Steeple Langford before we rang.

Our next practice is on Saturday 5th April at Thornford and Longburton; full details are on the guild calendar. All young ringers are very welcome.
