New Guild Website Launched
Dear [first_name],

The new website for SDGR members is now live!

Click here to visit it, now.

It is now a comprehensive hub for all the latest news and includes separate sections for each Branch's News as well as Young Ringers, LEBRF and a calendar of trainings and other events. Of course, it is still the home of all the existing information carried over from the old site.

We've given a lot of thought to navigation and usability with an improved search bar and a brand new Explore page which displays an organised listing of every page on the site - it's like a visual index. Importantly, it is accessible on all sizes of screens and automatically reformats the pages for the best experience whether you are viewing on desktop or mobile and all sizes in between.

We're also working on an email Newsletter with links directly to news items on the site and I hope the first edition will be out at the end of January. For the website and newsletter to be effective, we're going to need your help with contributions so please send us anything you may think is of interest - it doesn't matter how short (or long). Items may include:
  • First Quarter Peals

  • Special occasion ringing

  • Tower or branch outings

  • Reports of training sessions

  • Special achievements

  • Funny anecdotes

  • Recognition

  • Interesting of amusing stories about ringers or ringing

  • Recommendation of some learning material

When sending in your items, please always try to include at least one photo. You don't need to use any special format, just send the write-up in an email and attach the photo(s). Send to news@sdgr.org.uk.

I do hope you like the new site.

Best wishes

Andy Waring
Guild Publicity Officer
