New Section to Help Recruit New Learners

A little while ago someone pointed out that if someone casually googled “Learn to ring in Dorset” or “Learn to ring in Wiltshire” they might find the Guild website but there would be no specific guidance about who to contact or where to go next.

This set me thinking on how we could improve this which has resulted on a new page on the website specifically designed to introduce someone who wants to learn to ring church bells with someone who can teach them.

As well as general information about learning to ring there is a list and map of appropriate towers along with the contact information of the correspondent already shown on the branch pages. You can see the page here:

sdgr.org.uk/learn-to-ring/

I do hope you like the page and feel it could be a useful facility in the recruitment of new ringers.

Tower Captains/Correspondents

As with all things, mistakes and omissions happen so we’d like to ask Tower Captains  for your help by taking a look at our first stab at it and let us know:

  • if your tower is on there but you don’t think you should be
  • or if we’ve missed you off when you’d like to be on.

Please email email hidden; JavaScript is required and we’ll make any corrections as soon as we can.
