New Section to Help Recruit New Learners
A little while ago someone pointed out that if someone casually googled “Learn to ring in Dorset” or “Learn to ring in Wiltshire” they might find the Guild website but there would be no specific guidance about who to contact or where to go next. This set me thinking on how we could improve this […] |

Tower of the Month: Frampton
Frampton, a small, but pretty, village sandwiched between the Yeovil and Crewkerne roads, is not a stop on most ringing tours of Dorset. Only the bravest tour bands attempt ringing at Frampton, and even the most experienced bands struggle to produce any rhythmical ringing on the bells. Whilst not for the faint-hearted, the bells at Frampton, and the frame in which they hang, are extremely interesting from a historical point of view. Read on to find out more about the bells, their history, and the project to restore them. |

Not only the Ringing
One of the things I love about being a ringer is the range of utterly wonderful ancient buildings we get to spend time in. With a small amount of careful sleuthing you can discover the marks of the history of these places, some of which may be highly personal although others can reflect the local […] |
