On the afternoon of Thursday 24th August, we enjoyed ringing on the easy-going bells at Wareham. Robert brought along his cousins, Evelyn and Alexander, from the G&B Association. Joss and Buzz got the bus from Swanage and it was lovely to see them at one of our practices for the first time. Apart from some Stedman Doubles (well done Evelyn) we rang on 8 and 10 for the whole practice. Everyone did so well at plain hunt on 7 that we scaled it up to plain hunt on 9. All the young ringers made a good job of it, several of them doing it for the first time. Robert also called some lovely call changes on 10 and we rang Grandsire Triples on the back 8. Many thanks to Phil Stephens for welcoming us and to our trusty helpers.
Keep an eye on the calendar for future practice dates. We will restart in October but some of us are intending to take part in the W&P Open Day on Saturday 30th September. Please contact Hilary if you would like to be involved in that.
