A Visit to Ypres

At the beginning of December, a group of sixteen—made up of ringers from Pewsey Vale, friends both old and new, non-ringing partners, and Pip the dog—spent a long weekend in Ypres, Belgium. The trip featured some excellent ringing at St George’s Church, delicious Belgian food, and great beers (including gluten-free options!).

The visit also included a thought-provoking trip to the Flanders Field Museum and a moving experience watching the Last Post at the Menin Gate Memorial. As bell ringers, we love the opportunity to visit new towers and ring bells we haven’t rung before.
