Ann Woodhead – Keevil 1936 – 2023

Ann, and her husband Ian, learned to ring at St Leonard’s Keevil in 1987 soon after the new band was established there.  Ann and Ian planned and initiated a significant number of the fundraising events held between 1997 and 2000 for the restoration of the bells; the rehang of which was completed in September 2000.  

Although Ann did not ring during recent years, she joined the band on the death of our late Queen Elizabeth II and also for the proclamation of King Charles III.

Ann’s funeral service (and burial) was held at St James Bratton on 19 July when the bells were rung half-muffled in her memory.  She will be sadly missed.
