Band re-established at Semley

Following the initiative of a group of enthusiastic locals to create a new band, Mere branch of the SDGR held their annual Carol Service at St Leonard’s, Semley, on 9^th December 2023. The evening was made particularly special by the new ringers welcoming Guild members to join in with the ringing to celebrate their achievement after 18 months of learning to ring.

The carol service was well supported with branch members being joined by friends and family and the collection raised £137.35 for the homeless charity Crisis. Thanks must go to the branch officers and members who have given their time in order to teach the Semley ringers.
