Calling all teachers who ring!

The Central Council Young Ringers for Ringing 2030 Workgroup is creating a suite of school lesson plans to raise awareness of ringing in schools. This will contribute towards delivering a sustainable pipeline of young ringers, as well as creating an awareness of ringing for when a young person goes to university or moves somewhere new and they hear the bells ringing. Bespoke lesson plans are being aligned to the national curriculum and support the school’s coverage of the teaching of British values.

We are prioritising primary lesson plans initially. These have been drafted and we now need a group of teachers who ring to peer review these plans and help with working out how we roll out and market them to schools.

We are hosting a Zoom open meeting on Sunday 20th July at 19:30 to talk through what the project entails, explore the lesson plans and discuss how you can support the project.
