First Quarter Peal

Bobby Ashton, of Maiden Newton, achieved his first quarter peal on Wednesday, 24th January, two days after his 14th birthday.

Covering to Grandsire doubles well as ringing the tenor exceptionally well, Bobby also rang up and down in peal. 

Bobby has been attending practices at his home tower of Maiden Newton as well as Evershot and Beaminster.

Bobby already shows a real aptitude for ringing and has progressed to ringing well-struck plain hunt and, if he continues to give the craft the same dedication he has shown so far, I’m sure he will develop into an outstanding ringer.
