Quarter Peal for the Chairman’s 75th Birthday & 7th Wedding Anniversary
On Tuesday evening, 2nd July, a Quarter Peal was rung as a birthday & anniversary compliment for Janet Ranger-Dennis. I was very pleased that Robin Mears (Dorchester Branch Ringing Master) had suggested it to me but I was full of trepidation as I hadn’t rung one for seven years, since my wedding in 2019. Many thanks to Janet & Tim Collins for the use of the Bradford Peverell bells, and also for ringing with me, Robin, Robert Newton & Ian Tucker – thank you all. I was so pleased to achieve it, but so lacking in confidence that I didn’t take my phone up to the Ringing Chamber for a group photo, and didn’t think to ask someone else. My husband Tim came along to watch, as he did last time seven years ago.
