At our practice on Saturday 21st October five young ringers and some helpers rang at two easy-going, ground floor rings of six between Dorchester and Wimborne.
First, we rang at Milborne St Andrew. Bertie admired the autumnal flower arrangements while the rest of us rang call changes, plain hunt doubles and minor, Plain Bob Doubles (expertly called by Conni) and Plain Bob Minor. Thanks to Robin Mears for letting us in and for staying to ring with us.
We then moved onto Winterborne Kingston and found that the tower captain (Kate Brice) and our Guild Master (Vicki Rowse) had already got the kettle on. After enjoying hot drinks, fairy cakes and jammy dodgers, we were ready to ring again. In addition to the aforementioned methods, we rang a lovely touch of Stedman Doubles.
We finished off the afternoon with some well-struck call changes before ringing down in peal and heading home.
