We have nine young ringers taking part in the Ringing World National Youth Contest “grand day out” in Birmingham on 5th July.
In addition to ringing call changes on 6 in the competition they are going to be ringing at four other towers, including St Martin’s in the Bullring which has no fewer than 16 bells.
A big thank you to those who supported our fundraising at the Guild Festival (£84) and to the East Dorset branch for donating the proceeds from the “Ring for your cream tea” event at Lytchett Matravers (£88). Together with other funds and donations, this means that we can give each young ringer’s family a good amount towards travel and accommodation costs and the parents are very appreciative.
