8-Bell Striking Competition Results

West Dorset secured first place in the Guild’s 8-Bell Striking Competition at Bishops Cannings held on the morning of the Guild Festival on 9th May. Judges Ian and Ben Kerry of Portsmouth Cathedral highlighting the team’s superior tenor control and consistent rhythm as factors leading to their decision.

Four competing teams were entered from Melksham, Calne, Dorchester and West Dorset. Trowbridge had been due to compete but unfortunately had to withdraw before the competition began.
