Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme Extended

The Government’s Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme has been extended for 2025/26. This scheme gives gives grants which match VAT paid on repairs and renovations to listed sites of worship for works (including Bell Restorations) where the spend is over £1000 per project.

The only major change is a cap of £25,000 that a single parish can claim during the tax year which is unlikely to impact bell restoration projects as long as no other major renovations are happening in the building in the same tax year.
