Welcoming New Guild members

A small work group, with representatives from the East Dorset, Marlborough, Mere and Salisbury Branches, has been looking at the best way to welcome and encourage new members to the Guild. How do we ensure an understanding of what SDGR is and communicate the benefits and opportunities of membership?

Following research, it was found that the information people received about the Guild was extremely variable and the benefits not always clear. It was also found that a personal and tangible welcome to each individual was important.
As a result, there is now a prominent New Members page on the website and an individual Welcome Card is ready to be given to all new members.

The New Members Page has been up and running for several months now so do check it out if you haven’t seen it.
The Welcome Cards are currently being distributed to Tower captains and Ringing Teachers throughout the Guild, so do take a look when they arrive and please ensure that all new members receive one.

Thank you
